Changes to everyday travel in Trondheim
Some bus lines will have more frequent departures during the WSC. For example, line 23 (Sandmoen-Hallset/Pirbadet) will end at Flatåsen.
To Granåsen with skis or from Byåsen/Heimdal/Tiller
Traveling from Byåsen, Heimdal, or Tiller, bringing skis, or heading to the forest? We recommend other bus routes or the tram to stops within walking distance of Granåsen.
Many lines take you to stops in the city center, within a short walking distance of Torvet and other WSC events, such as medal ceremonies, Gauldalstunet, VM-LAVVOEN, and more
Bus lines in Trondheim with changes during the WSC
Line
- Operate every 10 minutes during the events in Granåsen and Midtbyen.
Line 3 (Lohove-Stavset)

Extended to Stavset senter instead of Hallset between 09:00–21:00 daily.

Operates to Hallset as usual outside these hours.
Line 11 (Risvollan-Stavset)
- Operates every 10 minutes.
Line 23 (Sandmoen-Flatåsen)
- Only operates between Sandmoen and Kolstadhaugen from 07:00–22:00 on competition days.
- After 22:00, line 23 follows its regular route to Hallset.
Important note!
Passengers traveling between Pirbadet and Flatåsen/Hallset must find alternative routes between 07:00–22:00 on competition days.
Alternative travel routes

Sandmoen–Tiller: Change to line 1 at Tillerterminalen.

From Flatåsen: Use line 40 combined with line 1 or 2 at Tonstadkrysset.

From Stavset: Use line 11 (or combine with route 13*).

From Havstad: Use line 3 or line 13.
*Line 13 starts from Sverresborg 4 due to construction work.
Line 42 (Buenget-Byåsen skole)
- Extended to Byåsen skole between 09:00–21:00 daily.
- Connects with line 3 at Byåsen Skole.
