We are upgrading!

AtB are gradually upgrading to a new customer portal for travel and real-time information, and ticket purchases. We are in the process of gathering the various services and making it easier for you as a customer. Read about what's new and what it means to you.

We will make it easier for everyone to plan and carry out a trip in Trøndelag. Now the app and webshop will be in one and the same system, which means greater flexibility and security for you as a customer.

New webshop

Welcome to a new and more user-friendly webshop for t:card at atb.no. For a period of time, both the current and the new webshop will be available. You will easily see which one to use based on how you travel, and you will use your existing t:card in the new webshop.

Buy your ticket in the webshop

  • Do you travel a lot? You should buy a periodic ticket. Choose betweem 7, 30 and 180 days.
  • Do you travel now and then? You should buy a punch card - 10 single tickets purchased at once.
  • The ticket can be used as soon as you have purchased it.
  • If you lose the t:card, you can easily "move" the ticket to another t:card in the webshop.

What it means for you

How you buy tickets and travel today will determine when you will use the new webshop or whether you will continue to use the current webshop. Read what applies to you below.

  • Are you used to refilling an amount to complete several single trips? It is replaced with the purchase of punch cards - 10 single tickets purchased at once.

If you travel occasionally by bus or tram, you can buy punch cards in the webshop and at the AtB customer service. You should use the same t: card that you already have. If you do not have a t: card from before, you can order one and have it sent to you by post for free.

How to use the punch card

When validating the t:card after you have bought a new punch card, hold it against the card reader longer than you are used to.

    Validating t:card on board

When you read the t: card on the card reader, you will receive an audible signal confirming that the card is being read. The driver will see that you have a cut card and start a single ticket. Hold the card until the driver confirms that you have a ticket. Keep track of how many single tickets you have left by logging in to the online store or asking the driver.

    Validating t:card at metro station

Validate t:card on the card reader. Wait for the audio signal and picture that shows that the ticket is OK and how many single tickets you have left.

More ways to buy a ticket

If you do not want to use punch cards on t:card, you have several other options:

    • Periodic ticket on t:card
    • The app AtB Mobillett
    • SMS-ticket
    • Ticket machine (zone A)

  • We are working on a solution that allows you to manage both your own and others' t:cards from one and the same profile in the webshop. This will make it easy to see active tickets and buy new ones. Unfortunately, this solution is not ready by August 7th, but will be developed so that you can use it this autumn.

    Temporary solution

Until we have the new solution in place, you must create a profile for each t:card you want to top up.

  • Those who travel with a t:card on a passenger boat or ferry can travel and top up a t:card as before and will not use the new webshop yet. We will come back with more information on when you can use it.

    Transfer to and from bus

If you travel by bus in connection with your boat trip, you will not be able to validate your t:card on board the bus from August 7th. During this period, you must present a receipt for the purchase. Print a receipt from the webshop or bring a receipt from on board and show it to the driver. We apologize for the inconvenience this may cause during this period.

Have you tried the app AtB Mobillett?

With the app AtB Mobillett you can easily show the ticket both on board the bus and on the boat. You can buy a single ticket for all speedboat and ferry connections in the app. Note that the discount related to t:card auto travel does not apply in AtB Mobillett.

Two apps are becoming one

In June 2021, we launched a new app for travel planning that has been named AtB. You can find it in your app store. Initially, it has replaced the AtB Reise app for travel planning, and in the long term it will also replace AtB Mobillett for ticket purchases. In other words, you will get everything you need to plan and complete a trip in one and the same app.

You who buy tickets in AtB Mobillett can continue just as before for a while longer. Later, ticket purchases will be available in the new app AtB, and in the long term it will replace the current AtB Mobillett. You can already use the new travel planning app.

Buy single ticket

You can already buy single tickets for bus and tram. The app is further developed in close dialogue with our customers, and you can give feedback directly to our developers via chat in the app.

Some things will stay the same

Purchase of tickets by SMS, retailers, ticket machines and on board will continue as before.
