Room for more passengers. Many possibilities to explore.
We have now increased capacity with 2,552 more departures per week in the Trondheim area. We are making more room for everyday moments and small adventures. A brand-new year-round route to Ferista and Skistua is also being introduced.
On March 10, 2025, we expanded the public transport service in Trondheim and the surrounding area with an additional 2,552 weekly departures. This means more space for you, more travel options, and a better flow in your daily routine. Whether you commute to work, study, participate in leisure activities, or explore the city, we have now made it even easier and more flexible to travel by public transport.
Notice! Several routes have had minor adjustments to their departure times. We recommend that all travelers check the updated schedules in the AtB app or the journey planner on atb.no.
What’s new?
- More departures, especially during peak hours in the morning and afternoon.
- Improved transfer options to metro lines and key transit hubs.
- More evening, weekend, and off-peak departures for greater flexibility.
- Route 18 (City Syd/Sjetnemarka) Kroppanmarka - Ferista (Skistua) will be a year-round service to Ferista and Skistua. This route will replace the current Route 24 (City Syd/Sjetnemarka - Kroppanmarka - Trondheim S) and Route 26 (City Centre - Skistua).
We have adjusted the service to make public transport the natural choice—not just for daily commutes, but also for weekend and evening plans.
Funded by Miljøpakken
This expansion is made possible by an 85-million-kroner grant from Miljøpakken.
The changes are based on travel data analysis, district studies, insight reports, and customer feedback. The goal is to make it easier to travel to work, education, and leisure activities—even outside regular working hours. In addition, we are improving connections to metro lines, making the network even more efficient.
